coast, Jacmel suffered extensive causalities as well as was left
littered with crumbled buildings and destruction after the January

responder team of seven medics, midwives and support staff,
originally affiliated with Bumi Sehat International Foundation, who
traveled to Jacmel, Haiti on January 28, 2010 via Santa Domingo, DR
to offer disaster relief to women and...

this link to an article listing common, everyday items that
today's adults used for years, which are now obsolete. Will babies

Some time
today, my stat counter registered over 1 million page views since I
started blogging. This blog was also listed as one of Babble's
Top 10 Pregnancy & Childbirth blogs of 2010!
For those who haven't been reading since the very beginning, I
originally started this blog 4 1/2 years ago as a
non-confrontational way to explain to my family members why I was
planning an unassisted birth. Back when I started, I hardly knew

I have definitely rounded the corner from feeling like the birth is forever away in the distant future to ack! I'm going to have a baby in a matter of weeks and how on earth will I be ready in time?! I wondered if I'd ever be chomping at the bit to get the baby out toward the end, but I'm usually thinking more along the lines of "give me some more time; I have so much to get done still." Of course, my babies were born at 38 and 39 weeks, so their arrivals both felt like surprises.

Expectant
momma Julie Ann
Samples shared on Facebook today, "One of my pregnancy apps on
my phone updated me to 24 weeks today and informed me that if I am
found to have gestational diabetes, then my baby will have to be
born by cesarean section, ugh!!! I'm glad it was a free app!"
Thankfully, Julie knew that this advice was wrong.
She said that the app is an

To end
off the year, I wanted to share a lovely birth story from one of my
blog readers, Brieanne. She lives in rural California, is LDS, and
has three children. This was her second unassisted birth and third
unassisted pregnancy.
